On September 24-26, the IDPA Baltic Championship 2021 took place in Vilnius. A little more than 100 athletes from 13 countries took part in the competition.
The Moldovan delegation consisting of Statnic Victor and Drambulco Alex registered for the match as Chief Safety Officers and shooters back in January this year and were looking forward to this event.
The organizers (Lithuania, Poland, Finland) built 13 dynamic exercises for 182 shots, including a lot of moving and metal targets, shooting while sitting, lying down, with weak and strong hands.
Despite the rain and cool weather, the pre-match for the Safety Officers took place on 24 September. The shooters were more fortunate, the weather returned to normal, on Saturday and Sunday it became warmer and sunnier.
According to the results of the match:
- Alex Drambulco took 9th place in Overall, 3rd place in his class SSP Expert, and also won the title of Most Accurate Iron Sights, gaining only 15 points down for the entire match.
- Victor Statnic took 21st place in Overall, 6th in SSP Expert and 3rd place in the Senior category.
Traditionally, we recommend all our athletes to attend international matches - this is an excellent competitive experience, promotion of Moldova in the international sports arena, new acquaintances with like-minded people and a large portion of positive!
